Capacitive touch screen: replacing physical buttons in coffee roasters

Coffee roaster is one of the key equipment to determine the flavor of coffee, and there are three main types on the market: direct fire, semi-hot air and hot air.


Direct-fire roasters: Utilizing a flame to transfer heat directly to the beans, the boiler surface is usually perforated to allow the fire to burn directly to the bean surface. This type of roasting can make the coffee beans evenly heated by stirring the drum, but the fire is more difficult to control, easy to scorch the surface of the beans, resulting in the situation that the outside is cooked and the inside is not cooked. Semi-hot air roaster: It is the most widely used heat conduction method in the market. The biggest difference between it and the direct-fire type is that the drum does not have the small holes where the flame can't roast directly to the coffee beans. The innermost part of the drum has a deflector hole that directs heat energy into the interior of the drum, which transmits heat evenly through the metal of the drum, resulting in a more even roasting of the beans.


Hot Air Roasters: Utilizing a blower to draw in air, and then allowing the air to pass through a heating coil to raise its temperature, hot air is utilized as a heating source to roast the coffee beans. The hot air not only provides the temperature needed for roasting, but also utilizes the power of the airflow to stir the coffee beans.
