Uninterruptible power supply system, abbreviated as UPS, is a kind of power protection equipment containing an energy storage device with an inverter as the main unit and a regulated voltage and frequency output. It is now widely used in computer security, transportation, aerospace, medical, industrial control and other fields.
UPS classification:
On-line UPS: In the input power supply is normal, or power interruption by the battery inverter power supply period, the inverter is always in the working state. On-line UPS output is mostly sinusoidal, stable voltage and frequency, can realize zero switching, so it is mostly used in the power supply quality requirements are very high.
Backup UPS: When the input power supply is normal, the input power supply is directly supplied to the load through the AC bypass and changeover switch; when the input power supply fails, the inverter is put into the system again to run the UPS system. When the input power is normal, the AC bypass is equivalent to the conductor, and the inverter does not work, which has high power supply efficiency but poor power supply quality.
Working principle:
During normal operation, the AC voltage input from the external power supply enters the UPS system through the input isolation switch, and continuously charges the battery through the charging circuit, while the AC/DC circuit converts the AC voltage into DC voltage, and then the DC voltage is reversed into AC output by the inverter, which is supplied to the load through the output isolation switch.
When the external power input is interrupted, the backup battery starts to work, and at this time the battery voltage is converted into AC output through the inverter, and supplied to the back-stage load through the output isolation switch.
When the UPS inverter fails or is overloaded, the UPS will directly output the input power to the load through the bypass switch to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
In industrial control environments, the role of the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) system is to ensure that critical equipment and systems can continue to operate during power failures or interruptions, and the touch screen, as an important part of the UPS system, plays an important role. However, in order to meet the special needs of industrial control environments, touch panels usually need to have the following characteristics:
1. high reliability and stability:
The UPS system is usually used to guarantee the power supply of critical equipment, so the touch screen must have high reliability and stability to ensure that it can still work properly in long-time operation and harsh environments.
It needs to undergo rigorous testing and certification to ensure that it meets the relevant quality and reliability standards.
2. Intuitive and easy to use interface:
The touch screen interface should be designed to be intuitive and easy to understand, so that users can quickly get started and familiarize themselves with the operation of the UPS system.
Graphical display and simple and clear menu structure helps to improve the user's operating efficiency.
3. compatibility and expandability:
The touch screen should be able to be compatible with different types of UPS systems and support a variety of communication protocols (such as Modbus, RS232, RS485, etc.).
Provide a wealth of interfaces and expansion options, so that users can add other functional modules or devices according to actual needs.
4. Adapt to harsh environments:
In the industrial control environment, the touch screen may need to face high temperature, low temperature, humidity, vibration and other harsh conditions.
Therefore, the touch screen should have the appropriate protective measures and adaptive design to ensure that under these conditions can still work properly.
5. Long life and low power consumption:
The touch screen should have a long service life and low power consumption to reduce the user's maintenance costs and operating costs.
Advanced display technologies and energy-saving designs are used to improve the durability and energy efficiency of the touch screen.
